Status: placeholder. Real content will be developed during the course build.

Big question

How do we compare rates and proportions?

Day-by-day

Monday — concept

Risk difference, relative risk, and odds ratio; two-way tables and the basic chi-square logic.

Wednesday — micro-lab ticket

Compute and interpret a risk difference and relative risk from a clinical two-way table.

Friday — quiz / application

Quiz mirroring Wednesday’s micro-lab on a new clinical or biological categorical-outcome case.

Primary source basis

OpenIntro IMS Ch 16 (one-prop), Ch 17 (two-props), and Ch 18 (tables).

Supplemental source / custom needs

ISLBS clinical RR/OR examples once mirrored; custom risk/odds clusters drawn from health and life-science contexts.
